MIDDLE SCHOOL WRESTLING IN OUR AREA 

TOP oversees an exciting initiative to dramatically grow Middle School wrestling in our area. By working with high school coaches, middle schools and local youth clubs, the program has been a huge success!

This project started with the realization that middle schoolers are more likely to wrestle if they practice and compete with schoolmates. Since Loudoun and Fairfax counties do not offer middle school sports, local clubs have stepped in to fill this void.

Athletes sign up for a club and are then assigned to a team according to the school they attend. The wrestlers wear uniforms that name their school and represent the school in competitions. TOP supports this effort by actively working with schools to spread awareness and by offering outstanding leagues/tournaments for the wrestlers to enjoy.

Herndon (Herndon Reston Wrestling)
Langston Hughes (Herndon Reston Wrestling)
River Bend  (ELWC)

Stone Hill   (ELWC)
Trailside  (ELWC)

If your Middle School isn't listed, you can still join a local club. Depending on the club and your location, you may be assigned to one of the above teams. If not, the club will work you into its existing program. Click here to see youth clubs in our area.

TEAM KICKOFF/INTRO EVENTS
Several team kickoff events occur at the same time as a Discover Wrestling event (see above). Former wrestlers are encouraged to attend and bring friends to help build their teams. Most of the event is geared for brand new wrestlers, but experienced wrestlers are there to help and ensure a great time for all. Click on your school's name on the left side of this page for exact dates.
