ELEMENTARY CLUBS IN OUR AREA
Several outstanding wrestling clubs serve boys and girls in the area surrounding TOP during the main winter wrestling season. While TOP offers programs in the spring, summer and fall, we do not offer a winter team. Therefore, this page provides information about local opportunities in the winter season for elementary-age kids.
Youth Winter Wrestling in Loudoun County Wrestling clubs in Loudoun generally serve boys and girls with DOB 2004-2013 (up through 8th grade). In most cases, clubs hold 2 or 3 evening practices per week and provide the option of competing in weekend tournaments (clubs compete in different leagues based on their preferences and goals). The main season generally begins in early-to-mid November and concludes in late February. Top of the Podium offers other programs throughout the entire year. Youth are usually divided by age and experience level. As athletes progress in the sport, they attend more advanced practice sessions and compete at different times. To begin wrestling, an athlete joins a local club. In many cases, new wrestlers pick a club that offers convenient practice times or locations. However, some families evaluate clubs by learning more about their coaches, philosophies, etc. In general, clubs serve primary geographical markets (as listed below) but also draw kids from other areas for various reasons.
