THE TOP CHAMPIONSHIPS

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 12
TOP ELEMENTARY CHAMPIONSHIPS
MERIDIAN HIGH SCHOOL (FALLS CHURCH, VA)

REGISTER HERE BY FEBRUARY 6

This double-elimination tournament is for youth wrestlers who competed in our WWS tournaments this winter and are no older than 6/30/2010. Non-Season Pass Holders must have competed in (or been on the wait list) for at least 3 WWS events this season. This is not part of WWS and has a separate registration fee. The top placers will receive awards and stand on the TOP podium. Champions will receive a confetti shower, special awards are presented, and more. In addition, TOP's Tom Houck will make a big announcement about the future of wrestling in the United States.

Wrestlers will be group by age/weight using the "Madison System," although variances will be smaller than during the regular season. We may make adjustments to brackets, when possible, so teammates can avoid wrestling each other.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 19
TOP MIDDLE SCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIPS
MERIDIAN HIGH SCHOOL (FALLS CHURCH, VA)

REGISTER HERE BY FEBRUARY 13

This double-elimination tournament is primarily for middle school wrestlers who competed in TOP's WWS tournaments this winter. Non-Season Pass Holders must have competed in (or been on the wait list) for at least 3 WWS events this season. 5th graders are eligible to enter the event. This is not part of WWS and has a separate registration fee.

There are fixed weight classes in this event, so wrestlers need to make weight. Here are video tips on how to make weight. The top placers will receive awards and stand on the TOP podium after the Championship Finals. Gold medalists will receive a confetti shower, special awards are presented, and more. In addition, TOP's Tom Houck will make a big announcement about the future of wrestling in the United States.

Preliminary Round matches will be 3 minutes. Championship Finals and Medal Round matches will be 4 minutes. Depending on time constraints, semi-finals may be longer than 3 minutes.

Weight Classes: 70, 75, 80, 85, 91, 97, 103, 110, 117, 124, 132, 140, 150, 163, and 220 (no allowance).

We will post all registrants (and weights) immediately after registration closes. We will allow wrestlers to change weights up through Friday at midnight at no charge. Any weight changes after then will require a $15 weight change fee.

(these are the same weight classes as used in past years)
