Youth Wrestling in Loudoun County
Wrestling clubs in Loudoun generally serve boys and girls with DOB 2002-2011. In most instances, clubs hold two evening practices per week and provide the option of competing in weekend tournaments.
The season generally begins in early-to-mid November and concludes in February.
Youth are usually divided by age and experience level. As athletes progress in the sport, they may enter more advanced practice sessions and compete at different times.
To begin wrestling, an athlete will join a local club. In many cases, new wrestlers pick a club that offers convenient practice times or locations. However, some families evaluate clubs by learning more about their coaches, philosophies, etc.
Currently, four major clubs serve the county. In general, they draw kids from the towns closest to their practice locations. But again, families may choose to join any club they prefer.
Here are the main Loudoun clubs:
Dulles South (Route 50 corridor)
Eastern Loudoun (Sterling and Ashburn)
Ranger Wrestling (Leesburg)
Western Loudoun (Purcellville)
Visit the above sites to learn more about specific ages, practice times, etc. You can register for a club on its respective web site and/or contact coaches with questions.
